![]() Yoga for Beginners Experience the beautiful art of Vinyasa Yoga which means to flow with the breath. In these classes and workshops students will learn and observe fluid movements that creatively link Yoga postures with the breath allowing for a natural flow and rhythm of contraction and expansion in the body’s movements. Through Vinyasa, students gain strength, focus, and balance while finding greater flexibility and freedom in body, mind, and spirit. Vinyasa Yoga assists students in finding a natural sense of grace and harmony within. Yoga to Relax and Unwind For students who wish to experience deep relaxation through the practice of Yoga, this class balances comforting, gentle poses with hands-on supportive adjustments to provide students with the optimum experience of deep relaxation. Sometimes called Restorative Yoga this class is an opportunity to observe a thoughtful practice to heal and nurture both body and spirit. Breath awareness, mindful movement, and contemplation offer a gentle class suitable for everyone. Students will experience a collection of postures using a variety of props that will bring deep rest to the body and mind allowing for an experience of profound regeneration and respite. Yoga Clinic Students are afforded a unique opportunity to have in-depth posture focused instruction with a teacher who has vast knowledge and experience with physical anatomy and the nuances of asana postures. Through this series students receive detailed instruction and experience as they learn ways to make numerous subtle adjustments to their postures that deepen and expand the benefits of the asana experience. Yoga for Managing Stress This class is taught by an experienced yoga teacher who is also a licensed professional counselor with specialized training and years of experience helping people with stress management. This series offers students an opportunity to learn the origin and nature of stress in the body and the mind and how to manage it through the practice of Yoga. Students will experience an unwinding of tension in the body and the mind, a sense of settling into a very relaxed state and a relief from the effects of stress in the physical body. The skills learned in these classes can be life changing, helping students to increase awareness, catch stress cues before they grip the mind and body and help students to know how to relax even in the face of stressful events. Prenatal Yoga The practice of yoga during pregnancy offers a wide range of benefits. With specialized training and certification in teaching prenatal yoga, this class series will provide an environment of personalized assistance, support and instruction on the practice of yYoga during pregnancy. Yoga can help minimize a variety of the discomforts that often accompany pregnancy, such as swelling, back and leg pain, and insomnia. In addition, yoga offers special benefits for breathing, posture, stability, flexibility, inner focus, pelvic floor strength, relaxation and general fitness. A signed note from your OB/GYN giving your clearance to participate is required in order to participate in this class
Yoga for Kids Tai Chi/ Chi Kung Basics Sitting Meditation, is the foundation of this journey. It is important to learn how to work with our mind, breath and body in a very simple way first. Meditation is more than just sitting and this 6 Week Series will provide an introduction and a foundation to the simple but powerful practices which can bring transformation to your perspective and to your life. This class is for those new to yoga as well as a chance for all yogis to "return to beginner's mind." Focusing on the practice of Hatha and Vinyasa styles of Yoga each class will build on the one prior as students are introduced to breath focus, postures that facilitate balance, strength and calm. Through this series students gain a solid foundation of basic instruction, personalized support and encouragement to respect where the body is and find way for Yoga to easily become a part of daily life.
Mindfulness is about learning to experience life fully as it unfolds--moment by moment. This practice of Mindfulness is an opportunity to experience the fullness of life, and change the way we relate to our problems, our fears, and any pain and stress in life so that they don't erode the quality of life.
